Located in Madrid, Spain, the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) organise worldwide events every year. The World Men Championship and Congress, World Fitness Championships, World Classic Bodybuilding Championship, World Junior and Master Championships, Arnold Classic Weekends, and the Diamond Cup are the major IFBB events renowned internationally.

The Malta Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (MFBBF) is a full member of IFBB and is the sole Bodybuilding Association recognized by the Maltese Olympic Committee and National Institutions. On the 30th of August, Malta will be hosting the National Championships, Diamond Cup Malta, and the IFBB Elite Pro Malta  in a local event to increase the following behind this sport.
